What is Software as a Service (SaaS)?
SaaS (Software as a Service) is a delivery model for software applications where the software is centrally hosted and provided to users over the internet. Instead of installing and maintaining the software locally on individual devices, users can access and use the software through a web browser or a thin client. The software is typically hosted on servers managed by the SaaS provider, who handles tasks such as software updates, security, and availability.
SaaS applications are typically accessed on a subscription basis, where users pay a recurring fee to access and use the software. The applications are designed to be multi-tenant, meaning that multiple users or organizations can share the same instance of the software while keeping their data separate and secure.
